Location: VA Medical Center Columbia 6439 Garners Ferry Rd. Columbia, SC 29209

Pay: $170.00 per hour.

Duration: 1 year with potential to extend.

Shifts:

• Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm One call one week per month.

Requirements:

• Shall have completed a residency accredited by the ACGME.
• Shall be board certified/board eligible.
• Possess DEA.
• Possess MD licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Shall provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic. Procedures shall be scheduled for completion within 30 days of the date of the consult. 
• Shall provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all Ophthalmology clinical or surgical patients.
