Mail Processor
Pay rate: $15.00 per hour
Location: 4125 Welcome All Rd, Atlanta, GA 30349
Duration: The assignment is scheduled to end tentatively early to mid-June.
Shifts available:
Full-time shifts: 7:00 am–3:45pm or 8:00am-4:45pm, Monday–Friday (closed on state holidays), with a 45-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Part-time shifts: 7:00am–11:00am, 8:00am–12:00pm, 11:00am–3:00pm, Monday-Friday (closed on state holidays), with no meal period and a 10-minute break.
Environment: Warehouse Setting (Concrete floors, paper, and machinery and noise).
Duties:
- Under direct supervision, the Mail Processing Contractor will support the Mail Operation Unit by opening, extracting, sorting and prepping tax documents. Other support duties may include scanning documents.
- Open, extract, sort, and prep, tax returns documents.
- Follow the processing standards, processes, and procedures.
- Meet or exceed minimum production standard:
- Daily processing 500 envelopes.
- Some lifting may be required up to 30 lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
Additional duties:
- Process documents using scanning/imaging equipment.
- Ability to stand and sit at workstation for an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with the ability to perform basic computer related duties.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior Department of Revenue experience.
- Prior experience in a production environment.
All selected applicants for Department of Revenue positions will be subject to a State of Georgia tax records check and a criminal background investigation before final approval to begin work. Additional background processes may be in place for some positions, such as law enforcement. In addition, the highest level of education indicated on the State of Georgia Application for Employment will be verified.
