Place of performance: The Dental Hygienist Services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at the Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee in Tallahassee, FL. You must pass mandatory background, credit check and drug screening.

Pay: $44.54.

Sign-on bonus: $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Shifts:

• 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm. The shift will be up to 8 sessions per day, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, if applicable, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal holidays.

Description of duties:

• Provide dental prophylaxis on inmate patients who are referred by the dental staff.
• Provide periodontal scaling and root planning on inmate patients who are referred by the dental staff.
• Provide complete periodontal charting on inmate patients.
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient.
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the Dentist.

Education and experience:

• Candidate is required to be certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in Florida and must submit photocopies of their license and/or board certification.
• Dental radiology certification, anesthesia certification and CPR certification are also required.
