NEEDED: Certified Nursing Assistant IV

LOCATION: 3625 FCI Road, Marianna, FL 32446

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US Citizen
  • Hold a current CPR -Health Care Provider certification.
  • Must possess a high school certificate of graduation or GED.
  • Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant IV.
  • Must have two (2) years of documented experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Must have knowledge of routine office related duties including working knowledge of computers and word processing programs.
  • Must possess the ability to file various documents in chronological order and electronically.
  • Must possess good organizational skills, good interpersonal relationship skills, and be able to work effectively with the Clinical Director.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Nursing Assistant Certification
  • CPR Certification or statement of willingness to obtain one prior to starting

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Provide chair-side assistance for the Clinical Director and Medical officer.
  • Assist Registered Nurses in performing patient care activities for patients.
  • Maintain sanitation of patient care areas and observe infection control procedures and universal precautions in all instances.
  • Procure proper equipment needed, maintains clean and sterile fields, secures specimens for laboratory analysis, (i.e., urine, stool, sputum, etc.), labels specimens, and transports them to the laboratory.
  • Report pertinent data in a timely manner to the medical staff including changes in patient’s condition requiring assessment and/or further intervention.
  • Communicate any changes in behavior, vital signs, or significant incidents to the Physician, Mid-Level Provider or Clinical Nurse.
  • Utilize good body mechanics when transferring and/or assisting patients.
  • Safely transports patients in wheelchair and/or on gurney.
  • Clerical duties such as scheduling of patient appointments, maintaining daily activity logs, maintaining stock supplies, and identifying supplies needing to be ordered.
  • Follow guidelines which require confidentiality with all patient information.
  • Perform other duties as directed, including but not limited to filing and/or scanning medical documents into patients EMR and stamping chart forms, etc.
  • Checks patient vital signs and weight and documents this data and pertinent observations in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Charts patient care given and other data on the flow sheet and/or graphic sheet.
  • Maintain accountability of instruments and other medical supplies.
  • Perform equipment maintenance per manufacturer and/or Clinical Director instructions.
  • Accomplish minor repairs to keep equipment in proper operating condition.
  • Participation in or complete Improving Organizational Performance (IOP) activities and/or studies.
  • Participation in emergency training exercises and maintaining skills in operation of emergency equipment.
  • Providing Clinical Director’s approved patient education to patients.
  • Assist with dressing changes and remove dressings at the direction of the physician.
  • Responsible for all other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • All duties and tasks will be performed in accordance with Program Review and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or designated.
