NiteLines USA is currently looking for Pharmacy Technicians to join the team! The prospective employee will provide pharmacy services as delineated below for the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay Rate: $26.00/Hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 - with a 2 year commitment

  • Paid Time Off - One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work up to 56 hours per year.
  • Vacation - effective after one year of service with Nitelines USA, Inc Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years.

Place of Performance: The services will be rendered on-site at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Leavenworth,1300 Metropolitan Avenue, Leavenworth, KS 66048

Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 30 hours per week (except Federal Holidays) normally between the hours 8:00 am - 2:30 pm with a 30-minute, unpaid lunch break; must be flexible with schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US Citizen
  • Formal training as a Pharmacy Technician at an accredited school and a current licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Kansas.
  • Must have a certificate of completion of a Pharmacy Technician program and must provide supporting documentation by providing diplomas/certificates/licenses, etc.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES: Shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Interpretation of prescription orders received from authorized prescribers, including Physicians, Dentists, Optometrists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Mid-Level Providers.
  • Entering date and printing labels for new and refill prescriptions using the pharmacy prescription software program.
  • Notifying the Pharmacist of any discrepancies in filling or distributing medication orders.
  • Filling and labeling new and refill prescriptions prior to final check and dispensing by a Pharmacist or other independent Practitioner.
  • Conducting medication and supplies inventories and inspections, including needles and syringes.
  • Preparing lists of medications and supplies to the purchase using the pharmacy ordering software program.
  • Completing and maintaining pharmacy activity logs.
  • Replenishing working stock medications and supplies in prescription processing and medication distribution areas.
  • Routine cleaning of prescription processing and storage areas.
  • Maintaining pharmacy files, records, reference subscriptions, and periodicals.
  • Separating and processing non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste and returns.
  • Assisting in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities and projects.
  • Any duties assigned by the Health Services Administrator (HSA) or the Chief Pharmacist that fall within the scope of duties for a local community Pharmacy Technician.
