Position Title: Dentist

Pay rate : $78.00/Hr

Shift hours: Mon-Fri 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Client: SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (Pee Dee Regional Center)

Job Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision of the Facility Administrator, oversees the provision of all dental services at the Pee Dee Regional Center.
  • Administers clinical dental services to the residents of the Pee Dee Regional Center.
  • Clinical services included but are not limited to examinations, prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planing, and minor surgical interventions when appropriate.
  • Responsible for administrative services necessary to sustain an ongoing comprehensive dental services operation.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of efficient scheduling of dental activities for Pee Dee Regional Center residents.
  • Supervises and provides management support for all professional and para-professional personnel in the dental department.
  • Develops, maintains, and promotes an ongoing dental prophylaxis program. Promotes good oral hygiene of residents through comprehensive oral hygiene educational programs to consumers.
  • Orders necessary dental equipment and maintains the DPH requirements for radiology, autoclave and nitrous.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited dental school with dental experience.
  • Licensed to practice dentistry in South Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices of dentistry and current developments in the field of dentistry.
  • Knowledge of recent developments and pertinent federal and state laws, rules, and regulations in dentistry.
  • Skilled in all aspects of dentistry to include operative, crown, and bridge, prosthetics, and periodontics.
  • Ability to apply improved techniques and procedures in all phases of dentistry. Ability to communicate effectively.
