Pay rate: $78.00/hr

Shift hours: 8:30a-4:30p

Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision of the Facility Administrator, oversees the provision of all dental services at the Pee Dee

Regional Center.

Administers clinical dental services to the residents of the Pee Dee Regional Center. Clinical services

included but are not limited to examinations, prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planing, and minor

surgical interventions when appropriate.

Responsible for administrative services necessary to sustain an ongoing comprehensive dental services

operation.

Responsible for development and maintenance of efficient scheduling of dental activities for Pee Dee

Regional Center residents.

Supervises and provides management support for all professional and para-professional personnel in the

dental department.

Develops, maintains, and promotes an ongoing dental prophylaxis program. Promotes good oral hygiene of

residents through comprehensive oral hygiene educational programs to consumers.

Orders necessary dental equipment and maintains the DPH requirements for radiology, autoclave and

nitrous.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Graduate of an accredited dental school with dental experience. Licensed to practice dentistry in South

Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices of dentistry and current developments in the field of dentistry.

Knowledge of recent developments and pertinent federal and state laws, rules, and regulations in dentistry.

Skilled in all aspects of dentistry to include operative, crown, and bridge, prosthetics, and periodontics.

Ability to apply improved techniques and procedures in all phases of dentistry. Ability to communicate

effectively.
