Title: Registered Nurse (1099)
Pay rate: $55.00 hr/1099
Company: Montana Veterans Home
Hours: This position is mainly for nights but may include an occasional evening shift. The night shift is a 12-hour shift (1800-0630) and evenings (1400-2230) is an 8-hour shift. 36 hours a week guaranteed or 72 hours over 2-week period (4 shifts one week and 2 shifts the next).
Long term care experience is must.

Job Description:
- Monitor patients' condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Observe and interpret patients' symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients' charts.
- Adjust and administer patients' medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.).
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies. Assist surgeons during operations.
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
Requirements:
- BLS from American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
- Driver's license and a personal vehicle are required.
- RN License.
