Schedule Notes: ASAP Start 8a-5p, M-F 8 week initial duration- strong possibility of extension

Potential to float to vacaville location

Should have 3D (tomo) training

Min 2 years of experience required

Previous travel experience required

Very busy and fast paced unit – possibility for OT

Duties:

Works under the supervision of the SDI Manager.

Performs all radiographic and mammographic studies.

Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes the required paperwork and charges.

Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.

Assists and instructs patients during examinations.

Assists with clerical duties and mammography regulatory tasks.

Reports all equipment malfunctions.

Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.

Skills:

1. Performs radiologic and mammography examinations in accordance to established protocols.

2. Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.

3. Responsible for keeping exam rooms neat and orderly.

4. Reports equipment failures and/or malfunctions to supervisor or director.

5. Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies to the Supervisor

6. Responsible for processing images, completing and organizing paperwork

7. Performs required QC as appropriate.

8. Adjusts mammography controls as needed prior to schedule start.

9. Produces high quality mammography images on all patients including wheelchair and implant patients.

10. Confers with the radiologist throughout shift as to proper viewing, imaging and techniques to optimize patient

examinations.

11. Identifies abnormal breast tissue and repeats exposure or includes additional views to decrease patient anxiety.

12. Confirms location of prior examination and contacts prior facility to secure previous mammograms for comparison.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Education: High school. Graduate of an AMA approved mammography course.

Licensure: Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure.

Experience: At one year of experience in mammography /x-ray.

Skills: Basic clerical and computer experience.
