JOB DESCRIPTION:

FL-DCF-St. Augustine-Exec Sec & Admin Asst-Interviewing Clerk - Help DCF clients who can not make it to the storefront in Jacksonville and Daytona.  

Part Time: 21.5 hrs per week.

Position: Pay Rate: $13.00hr

LOCATION: 200 San Sebastian View, Suite 2300 - St Augustine Fl 32084


JOB DESCRIPTION/SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Effectively assessing customers' needs.

• Referring customers to community agencies as appropriate.

• Timely and accurately escalating customers' complaints/inquires as appropriate.

• Documenting customers' records timely and in accordance with departmental procedures.

• Assisting customers with completion of online or paper applications.

• Assisting customers with My ACCESS Accounts.

• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers as by departmental procedures.

• Effectively maintaining customer log

• Explains eligibility requirements, form completion requirements, community resources for financial assistance, and/or provides program benefits 

Speaking -Talking to others to effectively convey information

Active Listening -  Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

Therapy and Counseling - Knowledge of information and techniques needed to rehabilitate physical and mental ailments and to provide career guidance   including alternative treatments, rehabilitation equipment and its proper use, and methods to evaluate treatment effects

Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems

Computer - Knowledge of computer software including applications

  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or at least 2 years of clerical experience
  • Must have more than 1 year of customer service experience
  • Must have more than 1-3 years of computer experience
