NITELINES USA, INC. IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT IN THE MEMPHIS, TN AREA
HOURS: 30 hours per week, Monday thru Friday between 6:30 am – 4:00 pm; with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Excluding Federal holidays.

DESCRIPTION:
Dental Assistant shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Retrieve patient's records and escort patients to proper dental specialty section; seat and prepare patient for attending Dental Officer; assist the Dental Officer by preparing dental instruments, essential materials, drugs, and medications; pass instruments, retract tissues, irrigates oral cavity, and operate aspirator; observe patients' response, and assist patient for dismal from the Dental clinic; give instructions for subsequent dental appointments; make necessary entries on dental treatment records; prepare dental treatment room for next patient; assist in the treatment of emergency cases; maintain dental equipment; clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments; perform daily inspection of equipment, and make minor repairs; report defective equipment, or utilize corrective action; perform routine oral prophylaxis of the clinical crowns of teeth; use dental hand instruments, mechanical instruments (including ultrasonic), oral hygiene aids and prophylaxis paste to provide necessary oral prophylactic services; prepare entries for patients' record.
- Select and apply medication in proper portion and anti-cariogenic agents to surfaces of teeth; apply medication as prescribed to gingiva to promote healing; fabricate and repair dental prosthesis and appliances under supervision; perform procedures pursuant to fabrication and repair of complete denture prosthesis and removable partial prosthesis, using acrylic resins and porcelain as basic materials; take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic, panel ipse, cephalometric, and transcranial equipment; obtain diagnostic quality periapical, occlusal, lateral, jaw, TMJ, and pantographic radiographs.
- Correctly position patient and film and determine level of radiation intensity to minimize radiation exposure of patients; develop, fixes, washes, and dries radiographic films using automatic developing units; utilize digital radiographic equipment perform and interpret four (4) quality assurances on a schedule basis on radiographic and developing equipment and safelight; responsible for maintaining proper infection control procedures in radiographic techniques; sterilize contaminated biological waste of dental clinic several times a day.
- Specific directions related primarily to unusual treatment concerning emergency professional therapy will be given by the attending dentist who explains changes in professional dental procedures that are available to resolve such problems, and render advice as needed. Guidelines consist of applicable professional practices and specific written and oral instructions.
- Services will be unsupervised in nature; however, due to the nature of the services provided, some direction will be provided by the Chief Dental Officer. Services shall be monitored by the assigned COR. Contractor shall utilize his or her own methods of delivering the required services.
- Expanded duties will include placing and finishing dental restorations, including bases and liners. Making primary impressions and pouring of the casts tooth shade selection for composite restorations and dentures.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at a minimum at least one-year experience as a Dental Assistant, graduated from an accredited school or program.
- Currently certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Shall provide a copy of all diplomas and/or certificates to support stated qualifications.
