LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX
HOURS: 40 hours per week: Monday – Friday; between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; excluding Federal holidays.

DESCRIPTION:
- Diagnostic Radiology Technologists are responsible for the performance of the following diagnostic radiology procedures:
- Skulls (includes sinus, mastoid, jaw, and facial bones), Chest (single and multiple view exams), Skeletal Exams, Spines and Sacroiliac, Bones and Joints, and Extremities, Gastrointestinal exams: Upper GI’s, cholecystograms, Barium Enemas, Genitourinary Exams: IVP’s Cytograms, Venograms and Myelograms
- Tomograms, Portable exams in the ER, OR/Surgery, to include C-Arm, Tube Placement Exams, Other exams as deemed necessary by Supervisory Radiology Technologist
- Technologist is responsible for room preparation in anticipation of the examination; i.e., assuring that the supplies necessary for the examination are present and in a state of readiness.
- Maintain records of patients treated, examinations performed, views taken and settings used. Interacts with the Medical Center’s VISTA Computer system to register examinations and to complete the parts of the radiology exam tracking data system which requires technical support.
- Converts radiology exams to digital computer images in VISTA Imaging using Digital Radiography (DR), Computerized Radiography (CR), or digital scanners such as the LUMNISYS.
- Works independently on evening, night and weekend tours of duty and holidays. Works without direct supervision during normal tours of duty; relies on supervisory technologist for resolution of problems with equipment/patient flow beyond the scope of the technologist.
