NEEDED: PHYSICIAN – General
LOCATION: Yazoo City, Mississippi 39194
SCHEDULE:
- Weekdays, Monday through Friday (Excluding Federal Holidays),
- Eight hours per day, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.,
- Thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period.
- Hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution.
QUALIFICAITONS:
- Must be Board Certified or have equivalent experience to be considered and expert in the field of medicine.
- Must have at least one year of direct experience.
- Must be fully licensed as required by law.
- Must be able to prescribe Opioid Use Disorder Medications.
- Must be knowledgeable about medical/legal aspects of patient care in a penal Environment. Additionally, the individual must have a working knowledge of policy, procedures, and standers prescribed by the AAAHC, Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, American Correctional Association, and the U.S. Courts.
- Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross of American Heart Association.
- Provide evidence of recent testing for immunity to Tuberculosis or other communicable disease.
- Must have knowledge of routine office related duties including working knowledge of computers, word processing programs and be able to type.
- Must possess the ability to file various documents in chronological order.
- Must possess good organizational skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and be able to work effectively with the medical staff. The contractor must provide proof that their candidate meets all qualifications. The candidates/s name, work experience and proof of qualifications must be provided at the time the quote is submitted.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
All duties shall be performed in accordance with standard and methods generally accepted within the field of General Practice Physician services with all Federal and State policy and regulations associated with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and American Correctional Association Foundations/Core Standards (ACA) for Adults Correctional Institutions.
