Pay: $35.00 per hour.

Sign-on bonus: $2,500.

Location: Dallas VA Medical Center, 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216

Schedule: Not to exceed 40 hours per week, between 7:30AM-4:00PM.

Responsibilities:

• Needing Painter who does general painting for new construction, remodel projects, and renovations such as redecorating offices, wards, corridors, dining halls/rooms, living quarters and shop buildings.  
• Employee paints and refinishes furniture, wood and metal such as desks, cabinets, chairs, operating room and laundry equipment.  
• He/she also does glaze, caulking windows on air-conditioning equipment, cutting and installing glass.  
• As required, the Painter coordinates with interior designer on wall coverings and paint color selections.  
• The Painter installs vinyl wall coverings, hangs paper, and tapes and beds. He/she cuts stencils, paints signs and helps blend and mix colors.  He/she also assists in marking streets and cleaning and caring for equipment.  
• The Painter prepares surfaces by methods such as smoothing with spackling and joint compound, filling, shaping and mixing and applying pre-coating agents; prepares coating materials by tinting, toning, matching, blending and mixing various additives.

Qualifications:

• OSHA Certification.
• Experience in painting.
