Location: 4500 Prison Road, Marion, IL 62959.

Pay: $67.77 per hour.

Schedule: 6:00AM–2:30PM, Monday–Friday.

On-call/Callback: Required to be on-call and available to return calls to the institution within 60 minutes if requested.

Qualifications:

  • Must maintain a current, unrestricted Pharmacist license.
  • Must have completed an accredited program in pharmacy and be able to provide transcripts of the training leading to the degree (Master’s or Doctorate). 
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License,
  • Have a current CPR certification,
  • Must possess knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures to perform job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems and safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment. 
  • Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with Physicians, peers, AICs, and others; to recognize, report, and record changes in patient’s physical and emotional condition; and to administer medication.

Duties: shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Interpret physician and advanced practice provider prescription orders.
  • Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer and print prescription labels.
  • Select the correct medication and prepare the prescription.
  • Inventory medication and supplies.
  • Enter medication and supply order data in the prime vendor computer system.
  • Maintain minimum quantities of stock items and notify the institution pharmacist of items to order.
  • File all reports about the pharmacy, including patient records
  • Dispense, administer, and record entries for the required medication.
  • Possess a working knowledge and maintain technical computer skills about pharmacy issues.
  • Must participate in Improving Organizational Performance Data and Quality Assurance Activities as directed by the Pharmacist or HSA.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Refill and inventory of Pyxis machines & utilization of Scriptpro machine for dispensing, refilling, and verification.
