NEEDED: Dental Hygienist

LOCATION: 1000 Airbase Road, Pollock, Louisiana

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Citizen
• Required to be certified/licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in any state in the United States
• Three letters of reference from professional peers

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide scaling and root planning (SRP) procedures, periodontal maintenance, and/or prophylaxis as indicated on the adults in custody who are referred by the dental staff.
• Perform comprehensive periodontal charting, probing, and documentation.
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions for each patient.
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff.
• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff.
• Administer local anesthesia as needed.
